Family Violence Training for Church Leaders

Churches are uniquely placed to recognise and respond to family violence, and have a key role to play in turning the tide on the prevalence of family violence in our communities. This training will equip your church leaders to make your church a safer place for people affected by family violence and to be a voice for change.

Content includes
-Understanding the dynamics of family violence
-Breaking down stigma and misconceptions
-How to recognise and respond to family violence
-How to support both victim-survivors and people using violence
-Where to get specialist support
-Considerations for developing family violence policies and procedures

Training delivered by professionals from Crossway LifeCare’s Family Violence Recovery Programs with backgrounds in Social Work and Psychology.

Who should attend?
All individuals in a formal or informal leadership role at a church are welcome to attend. This training will be beneficial for people at all levels of leadership, from board or eldership, to pastors, to small group leaders.

Catering provided for morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea.

Individual tickets are $95 per person, or send a group of three for only $250.
