More about Crossway Groups
Crossway Groups are the primary way to connect into community at Crossway.
Crossway Groups include Life Groups, prayer groups, missional communities, clusters, kids groups, youth groups, service teams, ministry teams, special interest gatherings and friendship groups. They also include emerging DBM (Discovery Bible Method) groups of 2-5 people exploring faith or reading the Bible with a friend (or friends).
Beyond their primary serving purpose, service and ministry teams are also encouraged to see themselves as discipling groups. For example, as well as helping out in the carpark at a weekend service, the car park team may also gather for coffee, watch the service together, and spend time sharing with each other.
The primary framework for Crossway Groups is UP–IN–OUT: God (up), Community (in), Missional Multiplication (out).
Leaders are encouraged to see themselves as spiritual parents of the Crossway Groups they lead, ensuring there is a purpose for the gatherings and a regular pattern of meeting together.
The Crossway Groups model seeks to be simple and intuitive, making it easy for everyone to belong, and facilitating rapid mobilisation.
